SERVICE to the ARMED FORCES

The American Red Cross provides a vital communication lifeline between military service members and their families by relaying urgent information in times of emergency, and offers financial assistance and counseling to military families. We also have an office at Nellis Air Force Base.

Nobody ever said being in the military was going to be easy – for yourself or your family. Adjustments have to be made. Problems will arise. The good news is that the American Red Cross is here to help you and your family. By calling us, you will access a wide variety of services available to both military members and their dependents, for both emergency and non-emergency situations.

Need an Urgent Message Delivered?

Volunteers and paid staff of the American Red Cross serve as caseworkers in order to provide our 24 hour non-stop military communication services. During business hours (Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.) please call the chapter at (702) 369-8541 and ask for a military caseworker. During non-business hours and on weekends and holidays, please call 1-800-951-5600.

Help Yourself by Planning Ahead

If you are a service member and know you are going to be away from home, be sure several family members are aware of the Red Cross services we provide and how to access us. Be sure to leave your Social Security number and full military address (i.e. unit, battalion etc.) with a trusted family member.

Both active duty and community-based military can count on the Red Cross to provide emergency communications that link them with their families back home, and provide access to financial assistance, counseling and assistance to veterans. The Red Cross has Service to the Armed Forces personnel in nearly 800 chapters in the United States, on 62 military installations around the world and with our troops in Kuwait, Afghanistan and Iraq.
