Red Cross Volunteerism in Action:

Many volunteers have found that the American Red Cross is just the right setting for them to use their talents and show compassion to people who so desperately need it. The Red Cross depends on volunteers, who constitute 97 percent of our total work force, to carry on our humanitarian work.

4. Participate in a Volunteer Interview:

Participate in a Volunteer Interview: A member of the Volunteer Team will be in touch with you to schedule an interview after your application has been received. During the volunteer interview we will discuss your interests, current opportunities with the chapter and the next steps in the volunteer process.

5. Background Check Required:

All prospective volunteers are required to complete a criminal background check prior to beginning their volunteer service with the chapter. Information regarding the background check will be provided during the interview.
