On average, every 30 hours the Southern Nevada Chapter responds to a local disaster,
the most common being a home fire.
Imagine suddenly being without your possessions, precious family photographs or even something as simple as the clothes in your closet. Other questions begin to arise. Where will you sleep? Will you be able to feed your children or get the things they need to return to school? How will you replace your prescription medication?
Even at 3:00am, Red Cross volunteers are ready to go wherever they are needed, to provide timely targeted aid.
The Southern Nevada Chapter will spend over $250,000 providing disaster assistance to local families.
